Teal Pumpkin Project this Halloween

My "Teal Pumpkin Project" in progress.
Happy Halloween week to all. Time for carving the pumpkins (or the second one if your first one already rotted), buying the candy (or restocking after you've eaten it all), and setting out the costumes for the kids (where in the world did that Ironman glove go missing?).

Halloween is such a fun time of year for kids of all ages. A lot of the focus is on the candy, and for some kids, that's tough. Two of my three kids have life-threatening food allergies, so we trick or treat without eating any treats along the way (unless I bring something from home), go home, sort through the stash, and keep the "safe" candies. This year, FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) started the "Teal Pumpkin Project" in an effort to spread awareness, and make the holiday a little less stressful for allergy kids and allergy moms. Check out the info HERE, and consider taking part if it works for you...you don't have to give up handing out candy, but you might consider adding something to your treat bowl this year! Hope you have a very happy and SAFE Halloween.

Blessings,
The Buzz
