Countdown is ON...

On Wednesday, it will be May...MAY!!! How is it possible that the last remaining weeks of school are upon us? 11 more days of preschool for my 3 year olds, 19 more for my TKer...and then he's off to "big kid school" in the fall. He'll be 6 in June...SIX...I promise I was pregnant with him just yesterday. The days of spring might be getting longer, but time sure is flying by. Enjoy it y'all...summer will be here before we know it!!

Blessings,
The Buzz

Happy Earth Day & a Giveaway!!

Happy Earth Day everyone!! Are you doing your part to "go green"? A local Charlotte company is making it a little bit easier. Pure Sky Living has created a "reusable paper towel" system that is just fantastic. From Pure Sky Living, LLC: "Basically, you just grab a towel, use it, and collect the dirty towels in the basket for washing later. If you just dry your hands, you can then hang the towels on a kitchen knob and use again. Also, they need no folding."

Additional uses other than hand drying are:
●Wiping baby faces
●Use as a coaster for pitchers
●Catch drips under a colander
●Drying fruits and vegetables
●Wiping counters
●Spoon rest
●Dusting
●Use as single use towels for guests in the powder room

Their website addresses are:
www.ReusablePaperTowel.com
www.PureSkyLiving.com

The Giveaway: Pure Sky Living, LLC is giving one lucky QCB reader a "starter kit" that includes the reusable paper towels, the stand, and the basket for collecting the dirty towels. Head over to our Facebook Page to enter by 11:59pm on Thursday...name drawn Friday morning!

Blessings,
The Buzz

Hope Floats on Sunday!!

http://www.duckrace.com/Default.aspx?alias=www.duckrace.com/charlotte

Unfortunately (but fortunately for them), I have a lot of friends that have used the services of KinderMourn over the years. This Sunday is their annual Hope Floats Duck Race at the US National Whitewater Center. There are tons of activities for the whole family, 2-5pm, with the duck race "floating" off around 3:30pm. Help support this wonderful organization that helps to support many, many QC families during heartbreaking times. They are truly amazing!!

    Survived!!

So clearly I jinxed the weather with my post last week...holy moly, by far the coldest spring break I remember. I'm just glad I can say that I (and my children) survived. I am REALLY ready for school to start again tomorrow, and I'm now feeling fully justified in my summer camp enrollment plan for the summer. :-)

Now THIS is more like it...
