Bye, Bye Summertime!!

Here's how I ended my summer this weekend...fantastic long weekend at the beach. I was SO ready for back to school (and I'm pretty sure I still am since preschool (finally) starts Wednesday), but enjoying the last few lazy days of summer...before preschool, and soccer, and choir, and violin lessons, and karate begin...has been marvelous. Hope you had a great last weekend of summer, too. Always hard to see it go...but we know Summer will be here again before we know it. Bring on the Fall!!!

Sky Top Orchard

If you're looking for a fun weekend day trip now that school has started (or will tomorrow - good luck), I highly recommend a trip to Sky Top Orchard. We went today after a weekend church retreat in the mountains, but you could easily go up and back in a day. There's apple picking, of course, but also hay rides, a playground, a nature trail, and animals to see. Did I mention the hot apple cider, apple cider slushies, and apple cider doughnuts that they sell? Heavenly! Mountain family memories are so much fun!!

Winding Down & Wrapping Up

www.memakingdo.com
The summer is winding down and wrapping up and school is just around the corner - this week for some, next week for some, after Labor Day for the preschool set. My home at this time of year is generally very far from organized, but I'm trying to do better this year. I love the website Organized Home (and pin lots of ideas that occasionally come to reality), and I think their "Back To School" suggestions are some of the best. Check it out HERE.

Local professional organizers, Simplicity, have been a lifesaver for me, my family, and my home over the last year. Their tips, tricks and strategies are awesome, and you don't have to be super-mom to make it happen. Their blog always has great ideas for becoming, and staying, organized. As school approaches, I love THIS blog post about preparation..."always be prepared"!!

We can handle this "back-to-school" thing y'all!!

Blessings,
The Buzz

CMOMs Sale is Saturday!!!

It's time!!! The Charlotte Mothers of Multiples (CMOMs) Sale is coming up on Saturday. Trust me when I say that you DO NOT want to miss this sale. As of Sunday morning at 10am, there are over 40,000 items for sale (and the number will grow). It is organized, clean, lots of volunteers to help you find what you need (and even take the big things to your car). This sale features clothing, shoes, toys, furniture, gear, supplies, books and more. I will post some "sneak peek" pictures on the Facebook Page on Friday, but mark your calendar now! Our Consignment Sale Page has also been updated...check it out!

Blessings,
The Buzz
