MAYcember is upon us...

It's that time of year again when chaos takes over the lives of moms everywhere...I lovingly refer to it as MAYcember...the month of May that is just as (if not more) crazy hectic as December. School is wrapping up so there are teacher appreciation days, class parties, class performances. Spring sports and activities are wrapping up so there are team banquets, sports tournaments, dance recitals, violin concerts. Summer is around the corner, so swim team starts, camp registrations are due, are you've got to buy bathing suits. May is nutty for sure, and it will be here on Friday. So...buy the extra bottle of wine at the store, stock up on highlighters to color coordinate your calendar, and hold on tight. We can do this...

Blessings,
The Buzz

2015 Hope Floats Duck Race

Looking for a fun, family-friendly event for the weekend? Look no further than the 11th Annual Hope Floats Duck Race!!
From the organizers:
Watch the rapids at the Whitewater Center turn yellow as over 15,000 racing rubber duckies hit the channel and race to the finish line to win 10 great prize packages!  Recognized as one of the quackiest races in town, the Hope Floats Duck Race is not only KinderMourn’s largest fundraiser, but a celebrated community event, drawing over 5,000 out to the race!  Proceeds from the race enable KinderMourn to expand programs and services throughout the greater Charlotte area.

Want to race a duck?  Ducks can be “adopted” for $10 each by visiting www.kindermourn.org or calling KinderMourn (704) 376-2580. The free event includes live music, children’s activities, and an amazing race of thousands of ducks!  It is a sight not to be missed!

Celebrating over 35 years, KinderMourn is known in Charlotte as a safe haven for bereaved parents and grieving children seeking support, comfort and hope after a tragic loss.  Outreach programs provide counseling in schools for children/teens unable to come to KinderMourn for services. For additional information, visitwww.kindermourn.org or call (704) 376-2580.
