I love a good deal. And I mean L.O.V.E. a good deal. You've heard me go on and on about children's consignment sales this fall because I love them. But put together a sale with women's & men's fashions, clothing and accessories for teens, and deals for the home, and I am ALL in. Charlotte Style Exchange is coming up October 11-13 in Huntersville, and they are giving ONE lucky reader a pass for themselves AND a friend to their early shopping event on Thursday, October 11th. Check out our Facebook Page to enter starting Monday morning. You must enter by Thursday at midnight to be placed in the drawing.

Pumpkin Time

So glad it finally feels like Fall. But even without the low temps, we knew it was here...Starbucks has their Pumpkin Spice Latte, Hallmark is all decked out for Halloween (who am I kidding...they've got their Christmas out by now), the Pillsbury Pumpkin "ready to bake" cookies are calling me from the refrigerator case at the grocery store, and now pumpkin patches have opened up for "pick your own" season. And picking your own pumpkins is SO much fun. A few of my favorites pumpkin patches:

Hall Family Farm, Carrigan Farms, & Riverbend Farms

Happy punkin' pickin' y'all!!

The Buzz

OK, yes, I hate the word "mompreneur", but I think those that are such are awesome. Love that there are so many right here in the Queen City!! A few I think you should check out: Kersnickety Clothing (ahhdorable things for your little ones), Multiple Blessings (fantastic finds for the home), and Bow Buddies (genius!!). Are there others that QC Buzz readers should know about? Email us about them, or post on our Facebook page!

Just a Week Boutique

Two such mompreneurs started Just a Week Boutique earlier this year, and their Fall Sale is this weekend. Here's all you need to know for a fun shopping adventure:

"Just a Week Boutique is holding their second sale September 20-22 in Pineville.  We will be located in The Centrum Shopping Plaza, right across the street from The Carolina Place Mall (next door to Kmart).  We will be open for volunteers, consignors, new mommies, and pre-sale pass winners on Wednesday, September 19.  All proceeds from consignor registrations will be donated to The Isabella Santos Foundation, and we will be having a "juice box drive" to benefit Bright Blessings!  We will have a great selection of fall/winter clothing, toys, equipment, bedding, and more!  We will also have a few vendors, including Mary Kay, Thirty-One, and custom children's bows!  Donated items will be given to Baby Bundles!  Come out and join us!"

Have a wonderful week!!

Blessings,
The Buzz

100 Days of Real Food...Really???

It's everywhere. The "real food" craze is here, and let's hope it's not a passing craze. Our kids (OK, OK, and us too) eat a whole lot of junk. Not just "junk food", but stuff made with real, live junk (have you read the ingredients of what you're putting in the lunch box Tuesday?). I've been trying to get better at feeding my kids REAL food...natural food...fruits, veggies, whole grains, but it's hard!!

Unless you have an AWESOME mommy friend like JC, who is leading her family on a journey of "100 Days of Real and Really Local Food". Yep, you read that right...one. hundred. days. of only REAL and only LOCAL food. Not only is she leading her sweet family on this journey, but she is blogging about the WHOLE thing. We're talking shopping lists (what and where to buy), recipes, and full daily meal plans. Click the What House Wife image below to check out her awesomeness (and making it easier for the rest of us). I have such admiration for this mama...she is truly amazing. Thanks JC for being REAL and for being you!!

Blessings,
The Buzz
