"March" toward Spring!

The snow/ice/sludge has melted (finally), but sadly the temperatures this week are still going to feel like winter. We flip the calendar to March on Sunday which surely means warmer temperatures are on the way (PLEASE). The Southern Spring Home & Garden Show is in town for one more weekend to get you inspired, and Spring & Summer Consignment Sales abound to get you and your family outfitted. Spring better be on its way...I am DONE with Winter!!!

Blessings,
The Buzz

Bundle Up & Hunker Down...

www.wsoctv.com
This is certainly not the best looking forecast for the beginning of this week. Snow and ice becomes a BIG deal in Charlotte...hunker down with some hot cocoa (spiked if you need it!), some good DVDs and some good snacks. If the above estimations are correct, the roads (and power lines) will not be pretty in the QC. I am not a crafty mommy, but even I will will do crafts with the kids on days like this. You can try THIS, or THESE, If it actually does snow, and you can collect it before it's a frozen sheet of ice, you MUST make "snow cream". There are lots of recipes, but I like the good ol' clean snow mixed with sweetened condensed milk (add that to your snow day shopping list)...nothing better.

Blessings,
The Buzz

Consignment Season Begins!!

CMOMs Sale
It's that time...Spring/Summer Consignment Sale begins Saturday with the Charlotte Mothers of Multiples (CMOMs) Sale at the Park Expo & Conference Center. Consignment sales are the perfect way to save (or make) a little cash while outfitting your kids for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. If you're planning to shop...here are a few tips:

  • make a list (of what you have and what you need)
  • go solo...while some sales allow children, it's best to do it on your own (or with friends)
  • note shoe size (and what size you think they'll be in soon)
  • compare prices...take your smartphone and use Amazon or eBay to make sure you're getting a good deal
  • shop the half price sale...best to go early and then again at the half price time when there are still lots of great deals
  • take your time...do not go if you only have 30 minutes...trust me
Happy spring and summer shopping!!

Blessings,
The Buzz
