It's that time of year that I've heard many refer to as "Maycember"...just as crazy and expensive (if not more so) than the holiday season in December. Preschool ends in 3 days (say what?!?!), and big kid school in 3 weeks. It's time for end-of-season soccer parties, piano and dance recitals (with costumes and flowers), teacher appreciation weeks, grandparents day/mother's day/ father's day school events, end-of-school celebrations, summer camp payments due, preschool advanced tuition payments due...life is crazy!!
But I wouldn't trade it for the world. In a few short weeks (or days, for the preschoolers) summer will be here...the pool will be open, the beach trips will be coming, the summer camp days will begin...this crazy pace of life will slow for a couple of months. We'll play in the sprinklers and plastic pools, we'll pick vegetables from our backyard gardens (or find great local ones at the farmers markets), we'll see fireflies, and stay up late...summer's coming and I can't wait!!
