Movin' On Up...

...not exactly. Today was the first day we had access to the "new" house. Hired a cleaning crew to do a "move-in" clean. They were there for NINE (yes, nine) hours...nasty, nasty, nasty. 30 or so bags of trash to the curb later, and the inside is looking good. Part of the gutter fell off the house in this weekend's rain...perfect! We've already started referring to the house as "the money pit"! But even after all that, I LOVE IT. I cannot wait to move in tomorrow (dreading the unpacking, of course). This house just has that "feel", and we've been through a roller coaster ride in order to be the next residents. I'm pretty sure there's been a good bit of divine intervention involved. Hope you all have a great week!

Boxes, Boxes, Boxes...

We move a week from tomorrow (still in the QC), so I am up to my eyeballs in boxes, bubble wrap and tape...miserable. This is our first move since we have had children, and I keep saying NEVER again! I pack a box, they unpack it...I try to declutter and make a "donate" pile of toys, they FREAK out. If there ever is a "next time", it will be while they are all away at sleepover camp, or vacationing with their grandparents...this is CRAZINESS!!
