It's On Y'all...

The Christmas Countdown that is. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY., at least one of my children asks "How many days until Christmas". I could answer in the thousands, and they'd still ask every day. We've already visited Santa at the mall. Last night we had dinner at Piedmont Row and marveled that all of the lights were up...wreaths, the center tree, the big tree in the Piedmont Natural Gas building. Today my four year old boy looked longingly at all of the ENORMOUS Christmas inflatables in Wal-Mart, and Christmas tree lots are starting to take shape on every corner! It's coming y'all...and fast...38, 37, 36, 35, 34...

Christmas Cards...and those pictures...

I know, I know...it's not even Halloween and here I am putting the "C" word in the title of my post. But you know I'm not the only one...Target and Michael's have their Halloween stuff on clearance already (is it bad if I'm stocking up for next year?), and the Christmas décor is in FULL swing. I even heard that the mall had their Christmas decorations up!! So anyway, back to the cards...I get so excited about Christmas cards every year, and then that excitement is dashed as soon as "picture day" rolls around. Getting 3 kids (and a husband sometimes) in clean, coordinating outfits, faces washed, hair and teeth brushed, and ALL smiling is nearly impossible!! For the past three years, we have done our Christmas card photos with Smile for Life. It is an awesome day (2 this year), of professional photographers donating their time and talent, and all of the proceeds benefit an organization...this year it's Camp Care, and I hear that it's a magical place for some super special kids. Fall Festival Fun & Charlotte Style Exchange GIVEAWAY!!

The Fall festivals are getting into high gear this weekend (just check out the listings on Saturday). Fingers crossed for perfect weather, well children, and lots of coffee for the parents!
