So, so fast!

I don't know about you, but for me this summer has FLOWN by. Probably due in part to the move, but really, how is it already the middle of August? Only 2 more weeks until CMS students return, 3 more weeks until the craziness of the DNC takes place, and 4 more weeks until preschool starts!!! Ready for school to start, and to be back in a routine, but definitely going to miss the "lazy days of summer." Make the last days of your summer marvelous!!

To shop the CMOMs Consignment Sale this weekend!!

I'm a little biased because I am a CMOM (Charlotte Mothers of Multiples) member, but truly this is one of the best sales every season. The members consign SO many great items (I just finished tagging my 429 items today...multiples means lots of stuff), and since the consigning members can earn up to 90% of their sales, the prices are AMAZING! Smocked clothing in the boutique section for as little as $10, strollers, riding toys, cribs, bedding, TOYS (huge selection of toys for all ages) and so much more. Also, proceeds from the sale go directly to CMOM programming which includes helping our members in need with supplies & gear when needed (having multiples can be pricey, too). The sale is Saturday, August 11th. Early bird shopping begins at 7:30am with a $2 admission, and then FREE admission after 8:30am. The sale will again be held at The Park Expo & Conference Center (formerly Charlotte Merchandise Mart), and parking is FREE. Cash, Visa and MasterCard are accepted, and please NO strollers or carts. Movin' On Up...

...not exactly. Today was the first day we had access to the "new" house. Hired a cleaning crew to do a "move-in" clean. They were there for NINE (yes, nine) hours...nasty, nasty, nasty. 30 or so bags of trash to the curb later, and the inside is looking good. Part of the gutter fell off the house in this weekend's rain...perfect! We've already started referring to the house as "the money pit"! But even after all that, I LOVE IT. I cannot wait to move in tomorrow (dreading the unpacking, of course). This house just has that "feel", and we've been through a roller coaster ride in order to be the next residents. I'm pretty sure there's been a good bit of divine intervention involved. Hope you all have a great week!

Boxes, Boxes, Boxes...

We move a week from tomorrow (still in the QC), so I am up to my eyeballs in boxes, bubble wrap and tape...miserable. This is our first move since we have had children, and I keep saying NEVER again! I pack a box, they unpack it...I try to declutter and make a "donate" pile of toys, they FREAK out. If there ever is a "next time", it will be while they are all away at sleepover camp, or vacationing with their grandparents...this is CRAZINESS!!
